TODAY: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Bowie Baysox will meet in the finale of a four-game series...The Flying Squirrels broke through a scoreless tie in the bottom of the eighth inning and shutout the Baysox 1-0 in game three of the series on Sunday night at The Diamond.
TODAY'S STARTERS: Right-hander Felix Romero gets the start in the series finale for the Flying Squirrels...Received a no-decision in his last outing at Erie 9/1...Allowed one run on five hits in six innings...Struck out five batters and walked two...Allowed the leadoff batter to reach one time in six innings and he scored (Brent Wyatt triple in the 3rd)...Recorded six ground outs and six fly outs...Threw 71 pitches, 48 strikes...Was limited to 80 pitches...Threw first-pitch strikes to 21 of the 25 batters that he faced...Has allowed one run or less in seven of his 13 starts...Seven of his 13 starts have been quality starts...Has gone six innings or more in eight of his 13 starts...Is 4-3 with a 2.96 ERA (24 er/73.0 ip) in 13 starts with Richmond...Is 2-1 with a 2.74 ERA in 12 games, six starts, at The Diamond...Is 2-2 with a 4.17 ERA in 13 games, seven starts, on the road...Has allowed seven runs, seven earned, on 14 hits in 14 1/3 innings (4.40 ERA) against Bowie striking out 13 batters and walking three.

FULL HOUSE: Richmond announced its ninth sell-out crowd of the season last night...It was the 13th time this season that the Flying Squirrels have announced a crowd of over 9,000 at The Diamond...The club is 4-9 when playing in front of more than 9,000 fans at home and is now 3-6 when playing in front of a sold out crowd at The Diamond.
ATTENDANCE WATCH: With last night's sell-out, the Flying Squirrels passed the Reading Phillies for the Eastern League total attendance lead with 457,273 fans...Richmond currently leads Reading in average attendance and needs to draw 5,813 fans today in order to clinch the average attendance title...The R-Phils lost two home openings due to weather while the Flying Squirrels lost just one.
SHUTDOWN SQUIRRELS: The Flying Squirrels recorded their 11th shutout of the season in last night's 1-0 win over the Baysox...The club has tossed four shutouts in its last 97 games after throwing seven shutouts through its first 43 contests...Five of Richmond's 11 shutouts have come against Bowie.
GOLD BOND: Infielder Brock Bond has hits in each of his last nine contests...The 24-year-old is 11-for-38 (.289) with two doubles, a triple, four RBI, and eight runs scored over his last nine contests...The streak matches Bond's season-long hit streak which came 6/16-6/16 while he was with Triple-A Fresno.
THE DON JUAN: Infielder/outfielder Juan Ciriaco is 6-for-14 (.429) over his last four games with two doubles, triple, home run, four RBI and two runs scored...The 27-year-old had just eight extra-base and seven RBI in his first 43 games with Richmond.
THOMAS THE TRAIN: Outfielder Thomas Neal is third in the Eastern League in doubles (40) and is fourth in hits (153)...He leads the team with 43 multi-hit games...The 23-year-old is one double and seven hits away from matching the career-highs he set last season with Advanced-A San Jose...Ten of his 12 home runs have been hit on the road...Since 6/1, Neal is batting .312 (101-for-324) in 85 games with 29 doubles, nine home runs, 45 RBI, and 52 runs scored...He has raised his batting average from .255 to .291 over that span.
CATCHING ON: Catcher Tyler LaTorre is 13-for-42 (31%) in throwing out base runners since Jackson Williams' promotion to Triple-A Fresno 7/1...He was previously 2-for-20 (10%) throwing out base runners.
DOUBLETREE DOWNTOWN DOUBLE PLAYS: The Richmond Flying Squirrels have turned 167 double plays in 140 games including six on 5/7 in Harrisburg...The Flying Squirrels have not gone more than three games without a double play this season...The club leads the Eastern League in double plays turned.
CFS STAT OF THE NIGHT: Right-hander Rafael Cova recorded his Eastern League-leading 22nd save in his 28th attempt in last night's 1-0 win over Bowie...He struck out the side in order for the third time in 47 outings and he struck out the side for the fifth time...The 28-year-old has struck out 66 batters in 56 1/3 innings (10.54 k/9 ip).
