BayBears to host Orlando and John Rocker this weekend

Mobile, Ala. – The Mobile BayBears will return home from their series with the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx on Friday, June 13th to begin a four-game series against the Orlando Rays, completing the Southern League's first half of play.

John Rocker, the former Atlanta Braves closer, is currently on the Orlando Rays' roster. Rocker led the Braves with 38 saves in 1999 and 24 in 2000. Since being traded from Atlanta during the 2001 season, Rocker has played for the Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

The BayBears will have several promotions for their fans throughout the weekend. As always, Friday night will feature a fireworks spectacular following the game. On Saturday night the first 1,000 fans will receive a free American flag and Sunday night the first 1,000 fans will receive free ice cream.

Also, all weekend long, the BayBears are inviting kids to play catch with their dads on the field before Friday, Saturday, and Sunday's games. It is all to celebrate Father's Day weekend at Hank Aaron Stadium.
