June 21, 2026 - JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - After winning just one of its last seven games in regulation time, Burlington finally flexed the offensive muscle we had grown accustomed to in the first week of the league year, beating Johnson City, 14-5, on Saturday night.

June 17, 2026 - ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. - Everything was the same. On Tuesday night, the Sock Puppets had the same lead they had taken into the bottom of the eighth inning three separate times almost at Kingsport almost two weeks ago.
But tonight, it was different.

Sock Puppets Complete Sweep of Axmen in Season-Opening Series
June 7, 2026 - KINGSPORT, Tenn. - For the third time in three days, the Burlington Sock Puppets beat the Kingsport Axmen. Saturday's 7-4 win marked a series sweep, giving Burlington its first 3-0 start since 2022.
Similar to Games 1 and 2, it was Burlington that scored first, but not without a stout pitcher's duel to get things going.
LHP Joshua Evans got the start for the Sock Puppets. The 20-year-old worked three scoreless innings, striking out four, and working his fastball as high as 93 mph.
