August 12, 2026 - CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Appalachian League announced that Burlington's Brandon Novy (North Carolina State) was named the 2026 Player of the Year. En route to being named Player of the Year, Novy posted a 1.184 OPS, the third-highest single-season mark in Appalachian League history.
