Sergei Murashov Named to AHL Top Prospects Team
June 10, 2026 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The American Hockey League announced today that Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goaltender Sergei Murashov has been named to the 2025-26 AHL Top Prospects Team, determined by the league's hockey operations department in conjunction with AHL general managers.

Penguins Eliminated with Game 6, Overtime Loss
June 7, 2026 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins fell in overtime of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final, 2-1, to the Toronto Marlies on Sunday night at Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza.
As a result, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has been eliminated from the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs. Toronto won the best-of-seven series, 4-2, with the fatal blow delivered by former Penguin Alex Nylander at 13:44 of OT.

Defensemen Brent Johnson, Quinn Beauchesne Join Penguins
June 7, 2026 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have recalled defenseman Brent Johnson from their ECHL affiliate, the Wheeling Nailers. Additionally, the Penguins have signed defenseman Quinn Beauchesne to an amateur tryout agreement.

Penguins Lose Intense Game 5 to Marlies, 5-1
June 5, 2026 - TORONTO, Ont. - An intense and emotional Game 5 in the Eastern Conference Final saw the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins fall 5-1 to the Toronto Marlies on Friday night at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
Toronto notched five unanswered goals, including three tallies during a frenzied, penalty-filled third period. The two teams combined for 100 penalty minutes in the final frame, but the mania failed to spark a Penguins comeback.
With the win, Toronto took a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.
