
Les Schwab Tires Coverage of Chiefs Hockey Friday Night

Les Schwab Tires will provide live coverage of Spokane Chiefs hockey on Comcast channel 12 when the Tri-City Americans visit the Spokane Arena Friday, February 24th. The game will be the fifth of six games that is carried live and ON DEMAND exclusively on Comcast.
The broadcast will begin at 7:00 and will replay Saturday morning at 11:00 on channel 14. The Tri-City game, along with the four previous game broadcasts, will also be available on Comcast's Video ON DEMAND. Les Schwab Tires will provide six total broadcasts throughout the season, including the final broadcast on Saturday, March 11th versus Tri-City.
The Chiefs will host the Americans for the fifth time and has posted a 3-1 record at home versus Tri-City. With 12 regular season games remaining, Spokane is fighting for a playoff spot and sits just three points behind the Portland Winter Hawks for fourth place in the US Division.
KXLY-TV's Dennis Patchin will call the play-by-play while Jay Stewart will provide color commentary.
Comcast Digital Cable customers can also access the first four episodes of Chiefs Insider, a behind the scenes look at the Spokane Chiefs.
ON DEMAND offers Comcast Digital Cable customers more control than ever before, with the ability to choose from movies, music, sports, news, instructional and entertainment programming and more, all with the functionality of a VCR.
Comcast launched ON DEMAND to its Spokane customers in 2005 and offers nearly 4,000 hours of programming ON DEMAND and expects to add thousands more hours of programming in the coming years. The service has become extremely popular, with Spokane customers viewing ON DEMAND programs more than 100,000 times a week, according to figures compiled by Comcast. Video on demand services are not available on satellite.
Friday night is Jersey off the Back Night presented by Comcast. The proceeds from the auction of 30 game worn jerseys will go to benefit the Spokane Chiefs Continuing Education Fund.
