January 4, 2017 - NBA G League (G League)
Westchester Knicks News Release

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Westchester Knicks (10-8), the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, squandered a lead in the first three quarters to give up the win 111-108, falling to the Grand Rapids Drive (10-10), the Detroit Pistons' affiliate.

On assignment from the New York Knicks, Maurice Ndour led Westchester with 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting, going 3- for-4 from beyond the arc. He also added nine rebounds and four blocked shots. Damien Inglis fell just short of a double- double with 14 points and nine rebounds; Courtney Fells and Jaylen Bond matching those 14 points with five and eight rebounds respectively. Chasson Randle finished with 12 points, six assists, and three steals.

Henry Ellenson paced Grand Rapids with 23 points, notching a double-double with 10 rebounds. Chris Horton also had a double-double for the Drive, with 11 points and rebounds from the bench. Jordan Crawford was also a big contributor from the pine, finishing with 20 points and three rebounds. Ray McCallum was just one rebound shy of a triple-double with 19 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds. Kevin Murphy also contributed 19 points.

The teams kept it tight in the first half, trading 10 leads amongst nine ties. Neither team led by more than eight points (Knicks), though Westchester would win both quarters, taking a 56-48 advantage at the half off of 22 points from Maurice Ndour. The teams remained even in the third, both tacking on 30 points in which the Knicks kept an eight-point advantage.

Everything would change in the final quarter, specifically in the latter half, when Grand Rapids tied it up with 5:04 on the clock. Taking a one-point lead on its next possession, the Drive used a 6-0 run over the next minute to give the home team its largest lead of the game. A three-pointer from Courtney Fells pulled Westchester back within one with just over three minutes to go, but Grand Rapids responded with another run, this time going 8-2 to give the Knicks little chance to come back. While the visitors retaliated enough to come back within two, the clock gave favor to the Drive with a 111-108 win.
