SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors (25-19) fell to the Texas Legends (23-20) 120-107 on Friday night in front of a twenty-eighth consecutive sellout crowd at Kaiser Permanente Arena.

Damian Jones, on assignment from the Golden State Warriors, led Santa Cruz with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Scott Wood contributed 18 points, while LaDontae Henton came off the bench to add 14 points and 9 rebounds. Kevon Looney, also on assignment from the Golden State Warriors, came off the bench to score 11 points and grab 7 rebounds.

The Legends were paced by Pierre Jackson who was one assist shy of a triple-double, contributing 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists. Jameel Warney (24 points, 13 rebounds) and Stephane Lasme (13 points, 12 rebounds) also notched double-doubles for Texas.

The opening period saw a balanced team-scoring effort with four players for Santa Cruz ending the frame with 6 points en route to an 8-point lead to start the second period.

The Warriors extended their lead to 13 points, the largest lead of the night for the hosts, by the 10:35 mark in the second period off an 18-ft jump-shot from Damian Jones. Texas would chip away at their deficit in the remainder of the frame to enter the break trailing by 7 points.

The Legends would claim their first lead of the night midway through the third quarter, fueled by Ben Gordon's 9 points in the first 7 minutes out of the break. Texas would ultimately outscore Santa Cruz 43-22, which would mark the most points allowed by the hosts in the third frame this season. A 17-4 run in the final four minutes of the quarter would give the Legends a 14-point lead to start the final frame.

Santa Cruz fought to rally back in the final minutes, but a seven-point gap is the closest the Legends would allow the hosts, holding them to 36.4% shooting in the frame.
