
TEXAS GETS TANGLED IN LONG ISLAND

LONG ISLAND, NY, - The Texas Legends (7-8) got tangled up with the Long Island Nets (10-5) falling 112-124 Monday night at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The game saw six lead changes in the first with Texas holding a one-point edge at the buzzer. The Nets regained control early in the second and pulled out to a double-digit lead before Texas pulled within 8 at the half. The Legends came out firing in the third going on a 15-2 run to take over, but the home team would turn the tables with three minutes to play in the third and carry the lead to the final buzzer.
Texas neared a season-high on the boards with 56 on the night thanks to three players tallying double-doubles. Jameel Warney led the way with 27 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 blocks while Kyle Collinsworth followed closely grabbing 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 steals. Brandon Ashley added the final double-digit duo with 17 points, 10 rebounds and Justin Dentmon led all scorers at 29 points on the night.
The Nets had six players in double-digit scoring led by Milton Doyle with 28 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists. The home team dished out 34 assists to Texas' 10 and shot 52% on the night to the visitors' 40%.
The Legends will play one more game on the road against the Raptors 905 before returning home Friday to host the Oklahoma City Blue at 7:30pm CT.
