Modesto Nuts News Release
Modesto, CA. - Missed opportunities cost the Modesto Nuts in a 5-4 loss against the San Jose Giants on Sunday afternoon at John Thurman Field.
Overall, the Nuts (9-15) left 14 runners on base while going just 1-for-16 with runners in scoring position.
They had a chance late in the bottom of the ninth against Giants' (14-10) closer Patrick Ruotolo (S, 2/2). After a groundout, Donnie Walton recorded his third hit of the day before stealing second.
