Cincinnati Jungle Kats News Release
ALBANY, New York - The Cincinnati Jungle Kats (1-9) failed to utilize a new offensive system against the Albany Conquest (4-6) as the hometown team picked up a 69-34 win in front of 4,803 at Times Union Center in Albany, New York. Albany was led by quarterback Ryan Hart, who completed 26 of 38 with 384 yards and 8 TD's. Cincinnati's Aaron Marshall, meanwhile, struggled - completing just 14 of 36 passes for 240 yards and 3 scores.
In the first half, both teams traded offensive blows; Kats wideout Derin Graham made his return to the field in a big way, hauling in a pair of TD passes in the first half while Antwun Williams and Chris Curd each recorded TD's in the opening two quarters while Jared Jones ran back a Kats kickoff for a score to give the Conquest a 26-20 advantage at the break.
Coming into the game, Cincinnati had been outscored 110-42 in the third quarter and that trend continued; Albany racked up another 16 points in the third to extend their lead and capped off the scoring with 27 points in the final frame to cap off the scoring. The Conquest receiving corp. was led by Antwun Williams who hauled in 10 catches for 182 yards and 8 TD's. Cincinnati's Derin Graham faired well in losing effort, grabbing 6 passes for 125 yards and 4 TD's.
