Springfield Cardinals News Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The safety of our fans is our highest priority. Nothing is more important to us. That is why we have Greene County Sheriffs work every game, conduct thorough bag checks as fans enter the ballpark, and log all packages received.
These measures are just part of a list of security measures we have put into place to protect our employees and guests. This Saturday, we received what law enforcement deemed a non-credible bomb threat. We immediately contacted local authorities when we received the threat. We followed the direction law enforcement provided us, handling the situation as they recommended.
We are working with local law enforcement to assist in their investigation into determining who made the phone call.
We want to thank all of the local law enforcement and safety personnel who promptly responded to ensure the safety of all of us.
