Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Great Lakes Loons (affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers) in the first game of a four-game series. This is game 10 of a 13-game, 14-day road trip for the Dragons.

2018 Team Notes

The Dragons opened their current 13-game road trip with a win at Fort Wayne, but they have since lost seven of eight games including the last four. Most of the games have been close, low-scoring games. They have scored four runs or less in all seven losses and had allowed five or less in every game on the trip until allowing 11 at Lansing on Friday.

Alejo Lopez over his last 24 games since July 15: 35 for 88, .398, to raise his average from .247 to .327. Lopez's .398 average since July 15 ranks first among players on the 30 teams at the Single-A classification (Midwest League and South Atlantic League) and sixth among all players playing at the full-season level in Minor League Baseball (120 teams). Lopez has a 13-game hitting streak, going 23 for 54 (.426). This is the longest streak by a Dragons player in 2018.
