The Canton Charge (28-18), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, held off the Windy City Bulls (19-25) in a 104-101 victory in front of 3,903 at the Memorial Civic Center for Canton's 2016-17 regular season home finale.
Canton's Cameron Jones led the team with 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting in 34 minutes off the bench. Jonathan Holmes had his fifth double-double of the year by scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in 35 minutes. Eric Moreland had eight points, 20 rebounds, three steals and five blocks in 36 minutes for the Charge. Canton has won nine of their last 10 games and takes the inaugural season series with the Bulls, 3-1.
Windy City's Alec Brown led all scorers with 24 points on 6-of-8 from three-point range to go along with six rebounds and three steals in 21 minutes. Duje Dukan had 21 points and seven boards in 42 minutes. Wesley Saunders had 13 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and five steals in 36 minutes. Jon Octeus added 18 points and six rebounds in 30 minutes for the Bulls.
Larry Sanders had two points and three blocks in 12 minutes on assignment from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jordon Crawford had 17 points and six assists in 28 minutes during his first start with the Charge. Mike Williams came off the bench to add 12 points and five assists in 20 minutes. John Holland had 19 points and two blocks in 35 minutes for the Charge.
Canton will hit the road for their final four games of the regular season, beginning with a visit to the Maine Red Claws (Boston Celtics) on Thursday, March 23rd at 7:00 p.m.
