Charge Swept in Weekend Series with Bulls

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - The Canton Charge (13-23), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, fell at the hands of the Windy City Bulls (15-20), 108-103, at the Sears Centre on Saturday night to sweep the weekend pair as well as all four matchups this season between the two Central Division foes.

Canton's JaCorey Williams posted his eighth double-double of the season with 24 points and 14 rebounds in 39 minutes. Marcus Thornton scored 22 points and dished out eight assists in 41 minutes. Kevin Olekaibe added 17 points, five boards and two steals in 38 minutes. Gerald Beverly scored 14 points with nine rebounds in 24 minutes. Grant Jerrett came off the bench to supply 17 points in his second game with the team.

The Bulls were led by a trio of 20+ point scorers, with Jarell Eddie netting a team-best 23 with five rebounds in 41 minutes. Cameron Payne had 21 points with six rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes. Jaylon Johnson had 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting with nine rebounds in 37 minutes. The Bulls finished the game on a 15-8 run to nab the victory after trailing from the 3:36 mark in the first until 4:40 left in the game.

Canton will head into the break after completing their four game road trip with a visit to the Delaware 87ers (Philadelphia 76ers) this Tuesday, February 12th at 7:00 PM.
