HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - The Canton Charge (13-22), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, fell on the road to the Windy City Bulls (14-20), 102-96, at the Sears Centre on Friday night.
Chicago Bulls two-way player Antonio Blakeney scored a game-high 29 points on 11-of-19 shooting with seven rebounds in 29 minutes. Jarell Eddie netted 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 41 minutes. Cameron Payne had 13 points, five rebounds and five assists in 23 minutes. Jaylen Johnson finished with 10 points, seven boards and five assists in 38 minutes.
JaCorey Williams led Canton with 24 points to go along with six rebounds in 36 minutes. Roosevelt Jones provided an all-around effort of 10 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and three steals in 35 minutes. Marcus Thornton added 22 points on 6-of-13 from three-point range in 38 minutes. Grant Jerrett scored 13 points and grabbed seven boards in 24 minutes off the bench in his season debut.
The two teams will meet again at the Sears Centre tomorrow night at 8:00 PM.
