AUSTIN, TX (Oct. 30, 2016) - The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC, selected forward Maurice Bolden with the 18th pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA D-League Draft. Bolden (6-10, 205) has played professionally since 2012, most recently in the Canadian NBL with the Windsor Express where he averaged 10 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 47 games. Bolden played three seasons for the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles.

"We're excited to get started with this new, talented group. Training camp starts next Wednesday and we look forward to preparing for our home opener on Nov. 13," said Austin Spurs Head Coach Ken McDonald.
Additionally, the Austin Spurs announced the names of eight returning and affiliate players also headed to training camp prior to the start of the 2016-17 NBA D-League season. The list includes returning players Jarell Eddie and Demetri McCamey, along with recent San Antonio Spurs training camp participants Ryan Arcidiacano, Livio Jean-Charles, and Pato Garino. Local player tryout participants Jeff Ledbetter, Darius Rice and Shaquille Thomas round out the pre-draft group headed to San Antonio to attend training camp scheduled to begin Wednesday, Nov. 2.
The Austin Spurs host Veteran's Appreciation night presented by ReBath of Austin benefitting Trinity Oaks for their home opener on Sunday, Nov. 13.
