
Argos Sign Four to Roster

TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts announced today that the club has signed international defensive backs Aaron Berry, Thomas Gordon and TJ Heath, as well as defensive lineman Joshua Watson.
Berry, a 5-11, 180-pound, native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, previously spent time with the NFL's Detroit Lions, New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. The 2008 second-team All-Big East selection had 31 tackles (25 solo, 5 assisted), 10 pass breakups and one interception as a senior.
Gordon, a 5-11, 210-pound, native of Detroit, Michigan, comes to Toronto after spending time in the NFL with the New York Giants over the last two seasons. The University of Michigan product compiled 229 tackles (133 solo, 96 assisted), 11.5 tackles for a loss of 48 yards, six interceptions, three quarterback sacks, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries with the Wolverines.
Heath, a 6-0, 190-pound, native of Alexandria, Alabama, signs with the Argonauts after stints in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins and New York Giants over the last five seasons. In four seasons at Jacksonville State, he had 145 tackles, 17.5 tackles for a loss, 10 interceptions, three of which were returned for touchdowns, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, two blocked kicks and 25 pass breakups.
Watson, a 6-4, 290-pound, native of Wilmington, Delaware, previously spent training camp with the NFL's Denver Broncos in 2015. In 44 games over four seasons at Clemson, he had one of the most productive careers by a Tigers defensive lineman, registering 148 tackles, nine tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, nine pass knockdowns, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and a blocked kick.
