Brooklyn Nets Sign Iowa Energy Center Willie Reed

Des Moines, Iowa - The Brooklyn Nets announced they have signed former Iowa Energy forward/center Willie Reed. Per team policy terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Reed (6-10, 250) averaged 19.8 points, 12.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 38.1 minutes in 17 games (all starts) for the Energy last season. Reed also earned First Team All-NBA D-League honors and First Team All-Defensive honors.

Prior to signing with the Nets, Reed was playing for the 2015 Miami Heat Summer League team. He averaged 13.5 points and 7.8 rebounds in four games (all starts) for the Heat.

Reed has earned Call-Ups to the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings, but has yet to appear in an NBA game.
