Suns Set 2015 NBA Summer League Roster

BAKERSFIELD, July 10, 2015 - The 12-man Phoenix Suns Las Vegas Summer League roster features four players who spent time with the Bakersfield Jam during the 2014-15 season - Alec Brown, Archie Goodwin, Jerel McNeal and T.J. Warren. Phoenix Suns Assistant Coach/Player Development Coordinator and former Bakersfield Jam Head Coach Nate Bjorkgren will serve as the Head Coach of the Summer League team.
McNeal appeared in 27 games with the Jam last year before earning a GATORADE Call-Up to the Phoenix Suns. He was named the 2015 NBA D-League Impact Player of the Year and received All-NBA D-League Third Team honors. McNeal averaged 18.5 points, 4.6 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.1 steals in 32.6 minutes per contest.
The 50th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns, Brown played in 17 games with the Jam last season, averaging 6.8 points 3.4 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 18.5 minutes.
In 10 games with Bakersfield on assignment last year, Goodwin posted averages of 22.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.8 steals in 32.9 minutes. He led the Jam to the inaugural 2015 NBA D-League Showcase Cup Championship and was named the Showcase Cup MVP.
Warren appeared in nine games during his assignment with the Jam, where he averaged 26.8 points on 54.4 percent shooting, to go along with 7.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 35.5 minutes.
The Suns tip off their Summer League schedule against the Washington Wizards on Saturday, July 11, at 3 p.m. at Cox Pavilion. Next, they will face the Houston Rockets on Sunday, July 12 (1:30 p.m. at Thomas & Mack Center) and the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, July 14 (4:30 p.m. at Thomas & Mack Center). Following these three contests, the Suns will play at least two more games as part of a tournament-style schedule to determine the NBA Summer League 2015 Champion.
