NEW YORK, NY - May 20, 2015 - New York Liberty Senior Vice President for Basketball Operations Kristin Bernert announced today that the team has waived rookie guard Laurin Mincy.
Mincy, a 6-foot-0-inch guard out of the University of Maryland, was drafted in the third round (27th overall) of the 2015 WNBA Draft.
During her senior season at Maryland, she averaged a team-best 13.5 points per game, leading to Second-Team All-Big Ten honors. Mincy helped guide the Terrapins to consecutive Final Four appearances and a Big Ten regular season and tournament title in 2015.
