
Tulsa Shock Partner with City of Muskogee for Traveling Practice

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa Shock, City of Muskogee and the Muskogee Civic Center have entered into a partnership to take a Shock Traveling Practice event to Muskogee on Saturday, May 30.
For a Shock Traveling Practice, the entire team, coaching staff and trainers travel and conduct a full, live practice session in a host community's facility for local fans. The practice will take place at the
Muskogee Civic Center, located at 425 Boston Street in downtown Muskogee, and will begin at 10:00 a.m. CST.
General Admission tickets to the event are $5.00 for adults, with children 14 and under free. Additionally, VIP tickets packages may be purchased that also include an autograph session with the Shock players for $10.00 per person limited to first 75. Fans may purchase tickets at the Muskogee Civic Center Box Office 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by calling 918-684-6363.
"This is yet another opportunity to grow and extend our brand in our region," said Shock team president Steve Swetoha. "Our partnership is an opportunity to showcase our team and our ability to connect with our players and coaches with the City of Muskogee on a number of levels is going to be exciting."
Shock head coach Fred Williams will address the crowd at select times to give fans an inside look on how he and the staff conduct an actual team practice. The players will introduce themselves as well.
The Shock will give away prizes, and players will host an autograph session for fans that purchase VIP packages immediately following the conclusion of the practice. The Shock's mascot Volt will also make a special appearance.
"Muskogee is so excited to have the Tulsa Shock coming to town," said Muskogee Civic Center director Cassandra Gaines. "This is something new and exciting for our community to be able to see the Tulsa Shock live and in action! Muskogee looks forward to welcoming them and watching the exciting basketball performance of these talented ladies!"
In conjunction with the Shock's team practice, the Shock Youth Basketball department will conduct a free youth basketball clinic for kids between grades five through nine. The clinic will begin at approximately 1:00 p.m. inside the Muskogee Civic Center after the team's practice and autograph sessions conclude.
