OKC Blue Falls Short in Austin

CEDAR PARK, Texas, Dec. 14, 2014 - The Oklahoma City Blue fell to the Austin Spurs, 109-99, on Sunday afternoon at Cedar Park Center. The Blue had six players score in double figures for the sixth time this season as they shot 49.3 percent from the field.

Talib Zanna led Oklahoma City in scoring while collecting his eighth double-double in 11 games with 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting alongside 10 rebounds. Semaj Christon swiped a career-high six steals to go with 14 points and four assists. Mario Little scored 13 points with four assists and Josh Huestis added 12 points, two boards and two assists.

Off the bench, Ron Anderson tallied 12 points and Michael Jenkins scored 11.

The Blue outscored the Spurs 44-43 in the first half that featured 11 lead changes. Austin took a six-point lead in the third quarter but a 5-0 OKC run in the final 30 seconds tied the game at 76 heading into the final frame. Oklahoma City built a nine-point lead with seven and a half minutes to play but Austin fought back to win its eighth straight game.

Oklahoma City (4-7) shot 8-of-17 from three-point range and 19-of-23 from the foul line.

Austin (8-3) was led by JaMychal Green with 30 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

The Blue continues its three-game road trip when it heads to California to face the Santa Cruz Warriors on Wednesday night. Oklahoma City concludes its trip at the Bakersfield Jam on Saturday. For more information, visit OklahomaCityBlue.com.
