
Iowa Energy Fall to Texas Legends

Des Moines, Iowa. - The Iowa Energy (4-3) lost 106-84 to the Texas Legends (6-3) Sunday afternoon at Wells Fargo Arena.
The Legends were led by Renaldo Balkman with a game-high 25 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists. Doron Lamb added 18 points and Damion James had 15 points and 13 rebounds. Memphis Grizzlies assignee Jordan Adams had a team-high 20 points for the Energy adding 8 rebounds and 2 assists.
It was a close first half of action with four lead changes and three ties. Texas held a 10-point lead at one point, with the Energy quickly closing the gap to keep the game close. The Legends led 22-18 after the first quarter and had a 47-41 lead heading into halftime. Balkman had 14 first half points for Texas and Diante Garrett added 13 points for the Energy.
Iowa was able to keep the game close until the end of the third quarter when Texas began to pull away with a 79-65 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Texas pulled out to a 31-point lead during the fourth quarter behind nine fourth quarter points from Balkman.
The Energy will head to Sioux Falls this Friday to play the Skyforce. Both teams will then travel to Des Moines to play at Wells Fargo Arena the following night, Saturday, December 13 at 7 p.m.
