Mavericks Sign Defenseman Dean MooreJanuary 25, 2014 - Central Hockey League (CHL) - Missouri Mavericks Press Release
Moore will make his Mavericks debut on Saturday night at the Independence Events Center as Missouri takes on the Tulsa Oilers for the seventh time of the season. Moore will be wearing number eight for the Mavericks.
The 6'0", 200lb defenseman began his 2013-14 season with the St. Charles Chill (CHL) before making a move to the Mississippi Surge (SPHL) where he put up 6 assists in 10 games.
The 24 year old, Bradenton, FL native joins the Mavs at just the right point in the season, holding a solid spot near the top of the standings, but bruised by league suspensions and untimely injuries. The Mavericks took a victory last night in Tulsa 3-1 with only 15 skaters. Dave Pszenyczny has one more game left in his three-game suspension, and recently signed defenseman Evan Zych was placed directly onto 7-day injured reserve after one game with the Mavericks with a lower body injury.
John-Scott Dickson, who scored the opening goal for Missouri in Tulsa last night, has been placed on 14-day injured reserve.
