HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo will face FC Dallas tonight at 8 p.m. CT at FC Dallas Stadium in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup fourth round meeting. The winner of tonight's game will advance to the tournament's quarterfinals, scheduled for Wednesday, June 26.

Tonight's game will be streamed live at www.HoustonDynamo.com and can be heard on Yahoo Sports Radio 1560 AM and La Ranchera 850 AM (Spanish).

Should the Dynamo defeat FC Dallas, they will host the winner of tonight's meeting between the Portland Timbers and Tampa Bay Rowdies (NASL) in a quarterfinal match at BBVA Compass Stadium.

The U.S. Open Cup is celebrating its 100th edition this year as the oldest ongoing national soccer competition in the United States. The single-elimination tournament began on May 14 with a total of 68 teams, from amateur teams to MLS clubs. With the tournament field reduced to 32 teams, 16 fourth round meetings will take place tonight. The Open Cup champion receives a place in the CONCACAF Champions League next year.

Houston advanced to the fourth round with a 2-0 home win over FC Tucson on May 29. FC Dallas reached this stage with a 2-0 road victory over the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

The Dynamo and FC Dallas have met once before in the U.S. Open Cup - a quarterfinal meeting in 2006. The Dynamo secured a 3-0 home win to advance to the semifinals, where they lost to the Los Angeles Galaxy, 3-1.

Houston also reached the Open Cup semifinals in 2009 to match their best finish in the domestic tournament. Last season, the Dynamo fell to the San Antonio Scorpions, 1-0, in the third round.

Houston will resume MLS play on Wednesday, June 19 with a visit to Quebec to face the Eastern Conference-leading Montreal Impact. Houston will return home to face Toronto FC on Saturday, June 22 at BBVA Compass Stadium.
