Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Calgary Stampeders are pleased to announce the signing of non-import offensive lineman Dale Stevenson. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
A product of Raymond, Alta., Stevenson spent the past two seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos. He was on the club's practice roster in 2011 and he spent the 2012 campaign on the injury list.
Prior to signing with the Eskimos as an undrafted free agent in 2011, Stevenson played five years for the University of Alberta. He saw action on both sides of the ball, playing fullback and defensive end. On offence, he had 20 catches for 235 yards and one touchdown. In his senior season, he led Canada West with six sacks and made a total of 30 tackles. He played in the 2009 East-West Bowl.
