
Spider-Man, Eddie Jordan and More Added to Promotional Schedule

(TRENTON, NJ) -With Memorial Day marking the unofficial start of summer this weekend, the Trenton Thunder, Double A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced additions to the 2013 Promotional Schedule that include appearances by Spider-Man from the broadway show Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark and newly named Rutgers University Basketball Coach Eddie Jordan.
Spider-Man from Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark at the Foxwoods Theater in New York City will return to ARM & HAMMER Park on Tuesday, June 25. "Spidey" will throw out a ceremonial first pitch and pose for photos with fans. It's also a Super Value Tuesday with Kids Eat Free (All children 12 & under will receive vouchers for a free hot dog, popcorn and soda) and Dollar Dog Night presented by Black Bear Franks.
Newly named Rutgers University basketball coach Eddie Jordan and mascot The Scarlet Knight will be at ARM & HAMMER Park on Sunday, August 4 at 5:05pm as part of Rutgers Night. Jordan attended Rutgers University and helped lead the school to the 1976 NCAA Final Four and set Rutgers' all-time career records in assists (585) and steals (220). Jordan served as head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers, Washington Wizards, and Sacramento Kings in the NBA. Jordan will throw the ceremonial first pitch and an autograph session (details TBD) will occur during the game.
Thursday, August 22 is shaping up to be a monster day at ARM & HAMMER Park. Previously announced promotions include fireworks after the game and Boomer and Strike Salt & Pepper Shakers (1st 1,500 fans ages 6 and over) presented by NJEA. It's also a Thirsty Thursday with a great beer special presented by Budweiser. The game will also feature our Fifth Annual Mustache Bash with Mustache themed fun throughout the game. It's also Hockey Night and teams or leagues can participate in a pregame parade on the field. Fundraising opportunities are available.
On Monday, July 22, the first 1,000 fans ages 21 and over will receive a Thunder pint glass thanks to Budweiser. This popular and usable giveaway will feature the Thunder's 20th Season logo.
The Thunder annual Football Kickoff Night will be held on Saturday, August 24. There will be football themed entertainment and prizes throughout the evening and fans are encouraged to be part of the fun by wearing their favorite football jersey. This the final Saturday night game of the season with the night ending with fireworks thanks to Hunterdon Healthcare System. The game is also our Fourth Annual Good Deed Game with multiple charity drives taking place outside the stadium. More details on the Good Deed Game will be announced at a later date.
The Player Statue Giveaway presented by Verizon Wireless slated for August 28 will feature Andy Pettitte. The giveaway, previously announced as "player TBD" is for the first 2,000 fans ages 14 and older.
