PEARL, MS -- RHP Andrew Russell has been reassigned to Double-A Mississippi from Triple-A Gwinnett, and outfielder Nick Weglarz has been released from the Atlanta Braves organization.

Russell, 29, was 2-4 with two saves and a 4.58 ERA in 16 outings with Triple-A Gwinnett. He started the 2012 season with the M-Braves (5-1, 2.35) before joining the G-Braves (1-1, 1.75) in mid-July. The Australian led the Braves organization with a combined 54 relief appearances last season. He was signed by the Braves as a minor league free agent on February 14, 2011.

Weglarz, 25, played in just two games for the M-Braves. He was signed by the Braves as a free agent on May 4 but was originally selected by Cleveland in the third round of the 2005 draft. He spent the entire 2011 and 2012 seasons with Double-A Akron, hitting .179 and .239 respectively. Weglarz posted his best batting average during the 2010 season where he hit .286 in 50 games with Triple-A Columbus. He was also named as a 2010 MiLB.com Organization All-Star.

The Mississippi roster has 25 active players and 5 disabled.
