RHP Burgoon Activated from DL, RHP Hernandez Placed on DL

Jackson, TN - The Seattle Mariners made a second roster move on Monday that effects the Jackson Generals. RHP Tyler Burgoon has been activated from the 7-day disabled list, while RHP Moises Hernandez was placed on the 7-day DL.

Burgoon, 24, started the year with Jackson and appeared in six games. He struck out 14 batters in his 8.1 innings of work. He was then promoted to AAA Tacoma on April 26, where he pitched in two games. He posted a 10.80 ERA in two games, with a 1-0 record. Burgoon is from Defiance, OH and was drafted by the Mariners in the 10th round of the 2010 draft out of the University of Michigan. He has a 3.75 career ERA in the minor leagues.

Hernandez, 29, has appeared in eight games this season for the Generals. He has posted a 7.94 ERA in 11.1 innings pitched. His last appearance came last night against the Tennessee Smokies. He pitched a scoreless eighth inning, surrendering only one hit.

Jackson's roster currently holds at 25 players, with three on the disabled list.
