
Gavrus Named to Belarussian National Team

The 2012/2013 Hockey Season isn't quite over for one member of the Owen Sound Attack as forward Artur Gavrus has been named to the Team Belarus entry in the 2013 IIHF World Men's Hockey Championships. The 2013 World Hockey Championships which are being held in Stockholm, Sweden and Helsinki, Finland will begin on Friday, May 3rd with the finals taking place Sunday, May 19th.
Earlier this season, Gavrus suited up for the Belarus Entry in the Division 1 World Junior Hockey Championship where he was named the tournament's top player.
The New Jersey Devils prospect tallied 8 goals in 21 regular season games, however; all 8 goals came in the last 8 regular season games of the season, while adding another 8 points in the playoffs.
The Attack congratulates Artur and wishes him success in representing Belarus at the 2013 World Hockey Championships.
