Geertsen and Houck Ranked in NHL Central Scouting's Final Rankings

VANCOUVER, BC - The Vancouver Giants are proud to announce that defenceman Mason Geertsen and right-winger Jackson Houck have been ranked 59th and 65th, respectively, amongst North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's Final rankings for the 2013 NHL Draft.

Geertsen, who was acquired from the Edmonton Oil Kings earlier in the season, finished the year with 14 points (2 goals, 12 assists) and 130 penalty minutes in 73 games.

Houck led the Giants in scoring with 57 points (23 goals, 34 assists) in 69 games and has moved up 47 spots, from 112th to 65th, since the NHL Central Scouting's Mid-Term Rankings. Houck was also named the Most Valuable Player and Most Improved Player on the Giants for the 2012/13 season.

The NHL Entry Draft is set to take place on June 30th in New Jersey.
