Kelowna Rockets News Release

When the Kelowna Rockets and Seattle Thunderbirds play game seven in their best of seven Western Hockey League first round playoff series tonight at Prospera Place in Kelowna, the Rockets can make WHL history.

With a win, the Rockets can become just the second WHL team to come back from a 3-0 deficit in a playoff series.

Kelowna trailed Seattle 3-0 but have raced back with three straight wins to tie the series.

Only the 1996 Spokane Chiefs have ever come from behind when trailing 3-0 in a WHL playoff series.

The Rockets forced game seven with a thrilling overtime win Tuesday night in Seattle, winning 4-3 before both teams made the trip back to Kelowna for game seven tonight at 7:05 p.m.

After the win, Rockets fans responded, lining up at Prospera Place this morning to purchase tickets to game seven.

There are still plenty of good seats available for the game and they are available at the Prospera Place box office, online at www.selectyourtickets.com or by phone at 250-762-5050.
