Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack will continue their five game home stand tonight when they host the LONDON KNIGHTS in the two team's final meeting of the season. The Attack is coming off a 6-1 win over the Mississauga Steelheads, which came on the heels of a 2-1 shootout loss to the Kitchener Rangers.

Artur Gavrus broke out of his slump, scoring his first two goals of the season while Cody Ceci added four points in the win.

Attack goaltender Jordan Binnington is also one win away from tying Curtis Sanford's franchise single season win record of 30 that was set back in the 1998/1999 season.

Jason Legge and his staff at the Co-operator's will be on hand to take nominations for the Co-Operator's Fans Choice Award. Fans can collect ballots on their way in and deposit them at the Co-Operator's Table in the South Concourse.

Wednesday, March-06-13: the LONDON KNIGHTS @ the Owen Sound Attack - The London Knights appear to have shook off a mini slide and promptly turn that into a seven game winning streak. For the 2nd year in a row, the Knights have clinched top spot in the MidWest Division and the Western Conference and are no doubt the odds on favourite by experts to repeat as OHL Champions. The Attack won the last meeting 3-2 in London and will look for their first victory against the Knights on home ice this season.

Look Out For - Anthony Stolarz seems to be the man in goal for the Knights these days, however; it wouldn't be hard to assume Jake Patterson gets the nod in goal (we've assumed wrongly before). After all, the Knights goaltender has not even given up a goal in his two starts at the Bayshore this season. The Attack did solve Patterson during their last trip to London, but it would be hard for Dale Hunter not to ride the hot hand.

Standing room tickets for tonight are available at the Attack Box Office. Game time this evening is 7:00pm.
