March 5, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
St. John's IceCaps News Release

FanFest is a celebration of all things IceCaps and takes place this Sunday, March 10 from 1-4 p.m. at Mile One Centre.

All St. John's IceCaps players will be on site to sign autographs, pose for pictures and chat with fans. Merchandise such as an Eddie Pasquale-signed, game-used IceCaps jersey, a Montreal Canadiens team-signed stick and a Boston Bruins team-signed jersey will be available at the raffle table, among other great items.

Children can enjoy the bouncy castle, face-painting, video-games, magicians and balloon artists and countless other activities. Other attractions include the Rogers TV studio, silent auction, a CD release and performance by singer Bob Lambert and of course, Buddy the Puffin. IceCaps Alley will also be open during the event.

"St. John's IceCaps fans are some of the best in the American Hockey League, and stand proudly beside us during highs and lows," said IceCaps President and CEO Danny Williams.

"Our outstanding fans have helped us to sell out every single game since the team's inception and when you see signs around the rink stating "We Believe" you know our fans are something special. Fanfest is our way of letting them all know how much we truly appreciate them and to thank them for their unwavering support."

As a further thank-you to fans, admission is now free for season-ticket holders (and up to three guests) and the price for a family pass has been reduced from $15 to $10. Single tickets are $5. Tickets are available at the door.

Proceeds raised will go to IceCaps Care and the Williams Family Foundation which have provided nearly $1 million in financial and in-kind donations to charitable organizations, province-wide, over the past two seasons.

The IceCaps resume their six-game home stand next weekend against the Eastern Conference leading Syracuse Crunch. Catch all the action with broadcaster Brian Rogers at stjohnsicecaps.com and on 930 AM This Is Newfoundland Labrador, or watch online at ahllive.com. Friday's contest can be seen live on Rogers TV. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. with the pregame show getting underway at 7:00.
