The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 8-0 on Thursday night in Kelowna, extending its home winning streak to a team record 20 wins in a row at Prospera Place.
Carter Rigby netted his second straight hat trick to lead the offense while linemates JT Barnett with four assists, and Colton Heffley with a goal and three assists, also had strong nights.
Dylen McKinlay, Jesse Lees. Colton Sissons and Tyson Baillie also scored for the Rockets, who improved to 21-2-0-0 at home on the season and 35-10-2-1 overall.
Jordon Cooke extended his personal winning streak to 19 games, also a Kelowna Rockets record and his fourth shutout of the season.
The Rockets and Seattle meet again Friday night in Seattle before Kelowna returns to Prospera Place to host Prince Albert on Saturday.
