Worcester Sharks Announce Dates of Five High School Hockey Doubleheaders

WORCESTER, MA - Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd announced today the dates for the five High School Hockey doubleheaders at the DCU Center this season.

Ten local high school varsity boy's hockey teams will skate on the DCU Center Ice on the same day as a Worcester Sharks game. Tickets cost just $13 in advance for each participating school, with one ticket to garner entry into the high school game and the Sharks game. Click here for full information or call (508) 929-0500.

The five high school hockey doubleheaders are listed below;

The 5th annual High School Hockey Clash between the Hudson Hawks and the Marlboro Panthers will take place on Sunday, January 13 at 12pm before the Sharks host the Portland Pirates at 3pm.

New this season, the Frozen Feud between the Northbridge Rams and the Worcester Wild Cats will battle at 4pm before the Sharks host the Hershey Bears on Wednesday, January 16 at 7pm.

The 3rd annual High School Hockey Faceoff will include the Auburn Rockets and the Wachusett Mountaineers on Saturday, January 19at 4pm before the Sharks host the Adirondack Phantoms at 7pm on Rob Gronkowski Puck Spike bobble giveaway night presented by Enterprise Cleaning Corporation.

The 4th annual High School Hockey Showdown will feature the Shrewsbury Colonials vs. the Algonquin Tomahawks on Saturday, January 26 at 4pm before the Sharks game vs. the Providence Bruins at 7pm on "Check Yourself - Beat Cancer" night to benefit the 15-40 Connection presented by Columbia Tech.

The 7th annual High School Hockey Classic will showcase the St. John's Pioneers and the St. Peter Marian Guardians on Saturday, February 2 at 4pm before the Sharks host the Providence Bruins at 3pm on Pink in the Rink Night to benefit the Cup Crusaders.

"The Worcester Sharks are proud to showcase high school hockey at the DCU Center again this season," said Mudd. "The high school games will have all the bells and whistles of a regular Sharks game. We expect large turnouts for all five games and look forward to some great high school hockey action."

Doors at the DCU Center will open at 3:30pm for the Wednesday and Saturday games (4pm start for HS game) and 11:30am for the Sunday games (12pm start for HS game).
