Nestrasil and Fournier to Grand Rapids, Coetzee to Toledo

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday reassigned right wing Andrej Nestrasil and defenseman Gleason Fournier to the Grand Rapids Griffins from the ECHL's Toledo Walleye and reassigned right wing Willie Coetzee from the Griffins to the Walleye.

Nestrasil, 21, rejoins the Griffins after helping the Walleye to a 2-0 win over the Kalamazoo Wings last night. The Prague, Czech Republic, native saw his 11-game point streak come to an end, but he still shares the team scoring lead with 31 points (10-21-31) in 31 games. Nestrasil has four points (3-1-4) in 28 career games with Grand Rapids and 60 points (17-43-60) in 82 games with Toledo.

Fournier, 21, has skated in three games for Grand Rapids this season, recording four penalty minutes. The second-year pro shows four points (1-3-4) and 18 penalty minutes in 16 career games with the Griffins, adding 18 points (2-16-18) in 65 career games with Toledo. The Rimouski, Quebec, native has a plus-five rating and eight penalty minutes in 10 games with Toledo.

Coetzee, 22, rejoins the Walleye after being reassigned to Grand Rapids on Friday, where he holds a share of the team lead with 31 points (14-17-31) in 32 games. The Johannesburg, South Africa, native shows 27 points (11-16-27) in 88 career games with Grand Rapids and 51 points (23-28-51) in 68 games with Toledo.

After beating the Oklahoma City Barons last night to finish their season-high seven-game homestand with a 6-1 record, the Griffins will embark on a four-game road trip, starting tonight against the Chicago Wolves at 8 p.m. EST. The team will wrap up its weekend three-in-three when it visits the Milwaukee Admirals on Sunday at 4 p.m. EST.
