
Royals Welcome Americans for Weekend Doubleheader

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals will host the Tri-City Americans for a pair of games this weekend following a mid-week road game in Kelowna. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights.
The two teams have met just once this season as the Royals took a 4-3 shootout win from the Americans on October 6th, 2012 in Kennewick, WA. Tri-City currently holds the third spot in the U.S. Division standings. The Royals will look to gain ground in the Western Conference standings as Victoria currently sits just five points back of Tri-City for the fifth position.
Friday, January 4th
Friday's game will see the first 4,000 fans through the gates receive a two-for-one midweek lift pass voucher courtesy of Mount Washington Alpine Resort! During the first intermission, Tim Bits Minor Hockey presented by 100.3 The Q! will feature players from Saanich Minor Hockey Association. The second intermission will feature a performance by the Oak Bay Figure Skating Club!
During the game, fans will be able to purchase tickets for the End of the Roll 50/50 draw and foam pucks for the Old House Village Chuck-A-Puck. Prizes for the evening's Chuck-A-Puck will include a one-night stay and spa treatment for two courtesy of Old House Village, a Family 4-Pack to the Royal BC Museum and two adult day lift passes from Mount Washington Alpine Resort! Proceeds from the evening's End of the Roll 50/50 will benefit Juan de Fuca Minor Hockey Association and the Old House Village Chuck-A-Puck will support the Vancouver Island Wave soccer team.
Saturday, January 5th The first intermission on Saturday night will see players from Nanaimo Minor Hockey Association participate in Tim Bits Minor Hockey presented by 100.3 The Q! while the second intermission will feature a promotion by Fisgard in which one lucky fan will win a $500 RESP and a team-autographed Royals jersey courtesy of Fisgard!
