South Carolina Stingrays News Release

The South Carolina Stingrays battled the Trenton Titans and Greenville Road Warriors this week for a week record of 3-0-0-0 and extended their winning streak to a season-high six games.

The Stingrays hosted the Titans for a pair of contests at the North Charleston Coliseum. On Friday, forward Daniel Koger scored a goal and two assists in a 3-2 victory on College Pride Night with special University of South Carolina jerseys. Saturday marked the Stingrays' annual Teddy Bear Toss game benefiting Debi's Kids. The Stingrays erased two two-goal deficits to defeat the Titans 6-5 in the shootout. Forwards Tyler Johnson (two goals, one assist) and Matthew Pistilli (three assists) each recorded three points and forward Chris Langkow added two goals including the teddy-bear goal and the game-tying tally.

In the final game of a three-game in three-day weekend, the Stingrays traveled to the Bi-Lo Center to faceoff against their in-state rivals, the Road Warriors. Forward Hunter Bishop scored 11 seconds into the game and forward Kevin Baker netted his first goal as a Stingray for a 2-1 triumph. Goaltender Ryan Zapolski made 28 saves to push his personal winning streak to six games.
