Toledo Walleye News Release
Walleye Notes
- Past Week Performance! The Walleye had a short week with just two games this past week. The first was Friday night in Evansville where Toledo scored five goals, but allowed the IceMen eight in an 8-5 loss. The 8 goals allowed was a season high for the Walleye. The following night, Toledo tried to rally from a 4-1 deficit but fell at Kalamazoo 4-3.
- Shooting Gallery! Toledo has sent 226 shots on goal over the last six games. That is an average of 37.6 per game, with twice going on the 40 shot mark. For the season Toledo is averaging 31.7 shots per contest. That is 7th most among all ECHL teams.
- End of a Run! Forward Terry Broadhurst was held without a point in Sunday's loss to the Kalamazoo Wings. That snapped Terry's season high six game point streak. It was the longest streak by a Toledo player this year. He finished with 2 goals and 7 assists during those six games.
- Gametime! Toledo has three home games facing them this week. The first is Wednesday night when the Wheeling Nailers come to Toledo. Toledo is 3-0-1 against the Nailers so far this season. Saturday night, the Walleye welcome in the IceMen from Evansville. Toledo has yet to beat Evansville in three meetings this year. Sunday evening is an appearance from the defending Kelly Cup Champions Florida. Toledo is 5-8-2 all-time against the Everblades.
- Promotions! Three home games this week and three great promotions! Wednesday night, don't miss the one and only Santa Claus with a special appearance.
