
Cody Sol Recalled to IceCaps

LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the NHL's Winnipeg Jets & the AHL's St. John's IceCaps, announced today that rookie defenseman Cody Sol (pronounced: sawl) has been recalled to the IceCaps' roster. The 6-foot-6-inch, 242-pound blueliner has recorded five points (3-2-5) and 93 penalty minutes in 21 games with the Eagles this season. His 51 shots lead all Eagles defensemen, and his 93 PIMs lead all ECHL rookies and rank 5th among all players. Sol was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 5th round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (125th overall).
