San Jose Earthquakes Announce 2013 Preseason Schedule

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes unveiled their 2013 preseason schedule today, a slate that includes trips to Tucson, Ariz., Oxnard, Calif. and Portland, Ore. for friendlies and the second-annual Timbers FC Preseason Tournament.

Players will report to camp on Saturday, Jan. 19 with the club's first practice to follow on Monday, Jan. 21. The club will then travel to Tucson, Ariz. on Monday, Jan. 28 for six days of training at the Kino Sports Complex. During their stay in Tucson, the Earthquakes will play friendlies against the New England Revolution on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. PT and the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. PT. All games will be open to the public with ticket details to be released at a later date.

After the trip to Arizona, the team will return to the Bay Area for three days before departing for Ventura, Calif. The Earthquakes will train at Oxnard Community College from Feb. 6-10 and return to San Jose for a five-day stint Feb. 11-15.

The last trip of the preseason will include three games in the Portland Preseason Tournament. The Earthquakes will face the host Timbers on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 5 p.m. PT, AIK of Sweden on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. PT and FC Dallas on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 2:30 p.m. PT. Each match will be played at JELD-WEN Field as part of a doubleheader. Details regarding individual and group tickets for the tournament will be announced at a later date.

The Earthquakes won the 2012 MLS Supporters' Shield with a league-best 19-6-9 record for 66 points.

Jan. 29 - #Earthquakes vs. New England Revolution, 5 p.m. PT

Feb. 2 - #Earthquakes vs. Houston Dynamo, 10 a.m. PT

Feb. 17 - %Earthquakes vs. Portland Timbers, 5 p.m. PT

Feb. 20 - %Earthquakes vs. AIK (Sweden), 5 p.m. PT

Feb. 23 - %Earthquakes vs. FC Dallas, 2:30 p.m. PT

Note: Dates and times are subject to change. Games may be added at any time.
