Penguins and Tobyhanna Army Depot Join Forces for 14th

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - With the holiday season officially in full swing, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are asking fans to take part in the 14th Annual Teddy Bear Toss at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.
The Penguins and Tobyhanna Army Depot have partnered up once again for the Teddy Bear Toss, being held during two home games in December: Saturday, Dec. 1 versus the St. John's IceCaps and Friday, Dec. 14 against the Binghamton Senators.
The team is asking fans to bring an unwrapped new plush toy to the arena on these days, where they will be tossed onto the ice during the first intermission. All donated items will be collected by members of the Tobyhanna Army Depot and later distributed to less fortunate children throughout the area as part of "Operation Santa Claus."
Over 15,000 teddy bears have been collected during the 13-year history of the event.
