Game Notes:

Captains my captains

The Ottawa 67's announced yesterday that Cody Ceci and Sean Monahan will share team Captain duties for the 2012-13 season, supported by Alternate Captains Jake Cardwell and Tyler Graovac.

Ceci will wear the Captain's "C" for home games in the first half of the season and Monahan will wear it on the road. They'll switch it up in the second half.

Opening a new building

While the 67's have played playoff games at Scotiabank Place the past couple of years this will be the first time the 67's open at SBP. They practiced at their new home yesterday after announcing their captains. One 67 should especially get used to the rink in Kanata as the Ottawa Senators took local boy Cody Ceci in the first round with the 15th overall pick this past summer in the NHL entry draft.

Barrie Mad

Last time Barrie was in Ottawa was also the last time the Colts played an OHL game during the 2011-2012 season. Ottawa completed an almost impossible comeback by reeling off 3 wins in a row to beat a team lead by Winnipeg first round pick Mark Scheifele. One of the smallest players on the 67's had the biggest impact as Brett Gustavsen scored less than 5 minutes into overtime sending the J.Benson Cartage Centre into a frenzy.
