York Revolution News Release
(York, Pa): The York Revolution has released more details about Roger Clemens' visit to York as a member of the Sugar Land Skeeters on September 3 and 4.
Clemens is now scheduled to throw his regular side-session on the playing mound at Sovereign Bank Stadium, in preparation for his upcoming start September 7 in Sugar Land. That side-session is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4 and will be open to the public with a game ticket.
The gates at Sovereign Bank Stadium will open early that day at 4:45 p.m. for all fans holding tickets to Tuesday's game so they are able to watch Clemens' workout. The only way to see Clemens' workout is to hold a ticket to Tuesday's game. Clemens will first be joining the Skeeters in York prior to the game on Monday.
Fans wishing to purchase tickets to Monday's game to see Clemens in uniform, and/or Tuesday's game which includes the chance to see his pre-game workout, may do so by visiting the home page of YorkRevolution.com, calling 717-801-4478, or by visiting the Apple Chevrolet Ticket Office at Sovereign Bank Stadium.
Credentialed members of the media may observe the side session from the field. In addition, the Revolution has planned a 2 p.m. press conference for credentialed media at Sovereign Bank Stadium on Tuesday in the White Rose Hall. At that event, Clemens will be available to field questions on an individual basis from media. Any and all media are invited to attend that event.
Media who plan to attend the press conference and/or side-session should RSVP to Paul Braverman in the Revolution front office, by e-mailing pbraverman@yorkrevolution.com . Those who do not have 2012 season media credentials for Sovereign Bank Stadium may pick them up at the press conference on Tuesday afternoon, if they plan on coming to Tuesday's workout and game.
The time on Tuesday for Roger Clemens to speak with the media will be the only instance where he is guaranteed to be available. The Sugar Land clubhouse will be closed to media during the day on Monday and Tuesday. Media that would like to speak with other Sugar Land players on an individual basis may do so by e-mailing Braverman or coordinating that with him at the ballpark.
