
Fisher Cats Win Fifth Straight

(Binghamton, NY)---John Tolisano drew a bases loaded walk in the top of the seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie and the Fisher Cats won for the fifth straight time, beating Binghamton at NYSEG Stadium on Monday night 3-2.
In the decisive frame, Brian Jeroloman singled, Koby Clemens doubled and Brad McElroy walked to load the bases. Ryan Goins grounded into a force play at the plate before Tolisano walked to give the Fisher Cats a 3-2 lead.
New Hampshire pitchers matched a seasons-best with 14 strikeouts. Sean Nolin, making his Double-A debut, worked five innings, allowing four hits and a run. He walked two and struck out eight.
Marcus Stroman (2-0) allowed a run in the sixth without a hit, but earned the win in relief. John Stilson struck out four in two scoreless innings. Trystan Magnuson worked a perfect ninth for his third save.
Darin Gorsky (8-7) took the loss, allowing three runs (two earned) in seven innings with four walks and nine strikeouts.
The Fisher Cats (54-74) plated the first two runs of the game in the top of the fourth inning. Brad Glenn singled and Brian Van Kirk followed with a double. The Mets intentionally walked Sean Ochinko to load the bases with one out. Brian Jeroloman grounded out as Glenn scored for a 1-0 lead. Koby Clemens reached on an error, allowing Van Kirk to score to make it 2-0.
Binghamton (61-67) came back with a run in the bottom of that frame, putting together back-to-back doubles by Wilmer Flores and Allan Dystra.
The Mets tied the game without the benefit of a hit in the bottom of the sixth inning facing Marcus Stroman. Stroman walked both Flores and Allan Dykstra to start the frame. Flores moved to third on a wild pitch and scored the tying run on Eric Campbell's sacrifice fly.
The Fisher Cats continue the three-game series in Binghamton on Tuesday at 6:35pm . RHP Deck McGuire (5-14, 6.26) will start for New Hampshire against Binghamton RHP Greg Peavey (6-8, 5.41).
