San Jose Giants to Host "A Giant Luau Hana Hou" August 3August 10, 2012 - California League (CalL) San Jose Giants
"Every person and business experiences obstacles," said Juliana Paoli, Chief Marketing Officer of the San Jose Giants. "The Hawaiian-themed jerseys are something our fans look forward to and will wear for years to come. When it became clear they would not arrive for our first A Giant Luau this season we decided that instead of cancelling the jersey portion, we would throw another Luau."
The San Jose Giants have named the second Hawaiian Night as A Giant Luau Hana Hou. Hana Hou is Hawaiian for "One more time."
At 7:00 PM on August 31 the Giants will take on the Modesto Nuts, led by the winningest manager in California League history Lenn Sakata. The Honolulu born Sakata managed the San Jose Giants for six seasons and was the inspiration behind the first-ever A Giant Luau that took place in 2007. In addition, the ballpark will be filled with Hawaiian decorations and spirit from the Big Island of Hawaii. Fans that wear their Hawaiian gear to the game will receive two FREE future game tickets. The game will also be an Alaska Airlines Mystery City Giveaway night as one lucky fan will walk away with two round trip tickets to a mystery city if the San Jose Giants hit a home run in the seventh inning.
Tickets are available for the game on August 31, tonight's A Giant Luau and the entire upcoming six-game homestand. August 31 will also be an OSH Merchant Night so fans can pick up complementary admission tickets at participating OSH stores one week prior to the game. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis, while quantities last. Tickets can be purchased by calling (408) 297-1435 or by visiting sjgiants.com.
