Krick Transferred To Jupiter; Cox Reinstated From Disabled List

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns, Double-A minor league affiliate of the Miami Marlins, announced today that UTIL Taylor Krick has been transferred from Jacksonville to Jupiter. In a corresponding move, INF Zack Cox has been reinstated from the DL to Jacksonville.

Krick heads back to Jupiter after spending time with the Suns this week. Krick hit .333 for Jacksonville in the two games he played and recorded one RBI. Krick is hitting .301 with 29 RBI in 61 games with Jupiter in 2012.

Cox is reinstated to Jacksonville after spending a week on the DL. Cox heads to Jacksonville after being acquired by the Miami Marlins in a trade involving then Miami RHP Edward Mujica. In Triple-A Memphis, Cox hit .254 with nine home runs and 30 RBI in 299 plate appearances. Cox played third base in 77 of the 84 games he played in Memphis. Cox was drafted in 2010 in the first round out of the University of Arkansas. Cox will wear jersey No. 40 for the Suns.

The Suns roster remains at the maximum of 25 allowed by the Southern League.
