
Canadian Pair Called up for Friendly vs. Trinidad and Tobago

Washington, D.C. (August 3, 2012) - D.C. United announced today that midfielder Dwayne De Rosario and defender Dejan Jakovic have both been called up to the Canadian Men's National Team. The two previously were called up for a 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Cuba (6/8/12) and a friendly against the U.S. Men's National Team (6/3/12).
De Rosario has started all of United's 20 matches this season, tallying five goals and a League-best 10 assists. While with Canada, De Rosario has scored 19 goals in 69 international appearances.
Jakovic, after recovering from two early season injuries, has started in United's last six matches. The centerback has logged 889 minutes and scored a goal in eleven games this season for the Black-and-Red.
