Rangers' Mark Lowe to Rehab with 'Riders

July 27, 2012 - Texas League (TL) Frisco RoughRiders

FRISCO, TEXAS (JULY 27, 2012) -Texas Rangers right-handed reliever Mark Lowe is scheduled to join the RoughRiders on a Major League rehab assignment on Saturday in Frisco. Saturday's game against the San Antonio Missions will start at 7 p.m.

Lowe, 29, was placed on the disabled list on June 29 because of a strained right intercostal muscle. He will pitch one inning in relief against San Antonio on Saturday. In 26 games for the Rangers this season, Lowe did not have a decision and posted a 2.30 ERA (8 ER/31.1 IP). The eight-year big leaguer last pitched on June 25 when he threw three scoreless innings at home against Detroit.

Tickets for Saturday's game may be purchased at the Dr Pepper Ballpark box office, online at www.ridersbaseball.com or by calling (972) 731-9200. The game will be televised on TXA 21 beginning at 7 p.m. with RoughRiders broadcaster Alex Vispoli and Lone Star Dugout's Jason Cole on the call.
